An outstanding and passionate educator with BKO and SKO qualifications, I bring over 20 years of teaching experience in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Austria, the UK, and the US. My pedagogical achievements include:
- Coordination and teaching in VU’s MSc programs: Environment and Resource Management, Political Science, and Earth Sciences.
- Development of a new interdisciplinary specialization: Global Environmental Change and Policy (with Wouter Botzen).
- Past chair of the Examination Board, MSc Environment and Resource Management.
- Adjunct professor roles at the Vienna School of International Studies and CEU, and guest lecturer at SciencesPo Lille and AUC.
- Developer and instructor of PhD summer schools and masterclasses for professionals (e.g., Clingendael Institute).
- Director of a Marie Curie PhD network on global sustainability (2008–2011).
- Offering The Work that Reconnects by Joanna Macy to groups of professionals and students.
